The GFWC Arts and Culture Community Service Program encourages members to promote and support arts activities in their clubs, schools, and communities. The goal is to create programs and projects that include music, literature, dance, drama, theatre, and other arts related areas, both traditional and innovative.

Here are some of the ways in which we promote arts and culture in our community:

Z Club members volunteer at the annual History Book Festival in Lewes and support local music and theater performances as a group.

In 2019 we sponsored the first Budding Artists Exhibition.  For two weeks in May, students from Shields Elementary School and Love Creek Elementary School had the opportunity to showcase their artwork at the Lewes Public Library.  Sadly, due to the covid 19 public health emergency, we were forced to cancel the 2020 exhibit.  We look forward to sponsoring this event again in the future.
