Arts and Culture

The GFWC Arts and Culture Community Service Program encourages members to promote and support arts activities in their clubs, schools, and communities. The goal is to create programs and projects that include music, literature, dance, drama, theatre, and other arts related areas, both traditional and innovative.

These are some of the ways in which Z Club promotes arts and culture in our community:

• Supporting students in local arts and music programs by providing annual donations to help fund their mission.

• Volunteering at the Cape Henlopen High School theater.

• Organizing group trips to local music and theater performances to support our local arts community and bring an appreciation of the arts to our membership.

• Supporting Clear Space Theatre Company and Milton Theatre with annual monetary donations.

• Hosting sing-a-longs and art workshops at senior and assisted living facilities to entertain residents and brighten their day.

• Hosting a Halloween pumpkin carving event to supply jack-o-lanterns to a Lewes park for the enjoyment of young trick-or-treaters.

• Organizing collection drives to support local non-profit art-related community projects including art classes for seniors and children.​​​​
